About

Ashley Bennington joined Sigmon Klein Bennington, PLLC, as a partner in 2024, after a career spanning 15 years at several other well recognized law firms in the Triad.  Ashley’s primary practice area is family law which includes representation of individuals for premarital agreements, separation, divorce, child custody, child support, equitable distribution, alimony, postseparation support, domestic violence protective orders, adoptions and name changes. 

Ashley began practicing family law after obtaining a Bachelor of Social Work from Campbell University in 2006 and a Juris Doctorate from Wake Forest University in 2009.  Since the inception of her career, Ashley has focused her practice almost exclusively on representing clients in family law matters and has participated in trials on all family law related issues in front of the Court.  Ashley has also represented hundreds of clients in reaching resolutions of their family law matters through mediation and other alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.  

Ashley is a Board-Certified Specialist in Family Law and has been since 2015, as designated by the North Carolina State Bar.  Ashley is an adjunct professor at Elon University School of Law where she teaches family law to lawyers in training and has since 2018. 

When not practicing law, Ashley enjoys spending time with her fiancée, Jay, and their dog, Liberty.
